Fostering regional partnerships and European green alliances

Environmental challenges do not stop at national borders.

Ekokoncepcija acts as an active civil society bridge across Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea Region.

We partner with international environmental coalitions, pan-European networks, and institutional frameworks to align regional grassroots initiatives with the European Green Deal and UN global sustainable development goals.

Key coalitions and strategic partnerships:

  • Baltic Sea protection and circular practices: As an active collaborator in regional Baltic networks, including Coalition Clean Baltic initiatives, we participate in joint efforts targeting plastic pollution, microplastics, and the protection of vulnerable marine and freshwater ecosystems.
  • European energy and climate networks: We take part in broad international federations, such as INFORSE-Europe (International Network for Sustainable Energy) and CAN EECCA (Climate Action Network). Our team contributes to international policy dialogues on energy sufficiency, climate mitigation, and regional decarbonization scenarios.
  • Assessing transboundary conflicts and war impacts: Through participation in international expert working groups, including the Ukraine War Environmental Consequences (UWEC) platform, we support research and knowledge-sharing regarding the ecological damages of armed conflict in Eastern Europe—focusing on chemical contamination, habitat degradation, and post-crisis green reconstruction frameworks.
